SCHOOL-WIDE BLOCK PARTY

EMILY GRIFFITH ROCKS THE BLOCK ON OCTOBER 9, 2012

The 3rd annual Emily Griffith Block Party is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fun-filled, interactive festivities planned for this event will literally "Rock the Block"

The Foundation's Block Party booth will provide visitors the opportunity to purchase a $5 or $10 ticket to win an item from the "Tree of Fortune." In exchange for a donation, guests will go home with intriguing items all donated to help the Foundation raise funds.

Some of the FREE outside demonstrations include:

* Dressing for success from the Student Success Center
* Blood pressure checks by Health Occupations
* Haircuts by Barbering and Cosmetology
* Fashion show from Fashion Design
* Specialty car show by Automotive
* Cake decorating by Culinary Arts
* Food tasting from Culinary Arts
* Live music and entertainment

Celebration Raises more than $78,000.

"Emily Then and Now" festivities at the Seawell Grand Ballroom, Denver Performing Arts Complex, held on Friday, September 9, brought together our donors, community leaders, board members, administrators and guests to give Emily her biggest birthday party ever. About 300 people enjoyed the elegant evening. Thank you to our generous sponsors, donors and guests for helping us raise more than $78,000.
